Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Foster Care Case Manager, where you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families through compassionate case management and advocacy. In this dynamic position, you will coordinate services, monitor placements, and collaborate with community partners to ensure each child's safety, stability, and well-being. Your energetic approach and commitment to positive outcomes will help foster resilience and growth in the children and families you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your expertise in child welfare, behavioral health, and social work.

Duties

● Manage a caseload of foster children and families in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.

● Conduct regular home visits to assess child safety, well-being, and placement stability.

● Develop, implement, and monitor individualized case and service plans. ● Maintain ongoing communication with foster parents, biological families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.

● Provide support, guidance, crisis intervention, and advocacy services.

● Facilitate reunification efforts and permanency planning when appropriate.

● Coordinate referrals for counseling, medical care, educational services, and community resources.

● Prepare accurate and timely case notes, reports, and documentation.

● Attend court hearings, family team meetings, and staffing meetings as needed.

● Complete foster home studies and provide recommendations for approval.

● Support foster parent recruitment, retention, and training efforts.

● Monitor children's educational progress and advocate for academic success.

● Ensure compliance with DFCS regulations, agency standards, and foster care requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass criminal background checks and required screenings.
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
Experience in foster care, child welfare, family services, or case management.
Knowledge of DFCS policies and child welfare regulations.
Training or certification in trauma-informed care.
Experience working with diverse populations and high-risk families.
