Position Overview
As a CNC Machinist, you will take ownership of machining high-precision components using mills and lathes. This position requires experience working with tight tolerances, interpreting complex blueprints, and producing quality work with minimal supervision.

Job Duties
- Perform complete machine setup, alignment, calibration, and adjustments
- Select and install appropriate tooling, cutters, inserts, collets, and workholding
- Build fixtures, modify soft jaws, and create rigid workholding setups
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and complex machining drawings
- Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, tapping, contouring, and slotting operations
- Optimize feeds and speeds for efficiency while maintaining tolerances
- Machine steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastics, and specialty alloys
- Hold tolerances of ±0.001" or tighter using precision measuring equipment
- Complete quality inspections and maintain required documentation
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
- Troubleshoot machining issues including chatter, tool wear, vibration, taper, and surface finish concerns
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
- Manage multiple jobs while maintaining productivity and accuracy
- Assist in maintaining a positive team environment and support training of less experienced machinists when needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of professional CNC machining experience
- Expert proficiency operating mills and lathes
- Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, machining strategies, and materials
- Must provide your own professional tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and excellent work ethic
