Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will support the overall operations of residential or commercial properties, ensuring exceptional tenant experiences, compliance with housing regulations, and efficient property maintenance. Your energetic approach and customer-focused mindset will help foster a welcoming environment for residents and clients alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in property management while contributing to the success of our properties.

Duties

Assist in managing day-to-day property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
Support lease administration processes, including lease signing, renewals, and terminations, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
Utilize Yardi property management software to maintain accurate data entry, tenant records, and financial transactions
Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management activities to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards
Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, upselling available units and highlighting key features to maximize occupancy rates
Handle legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, contracts, and lease agreements with transparency and precision
Manage conflict resolution between tenants or vendors using effective negotiation and conflict management skills
Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, maintenance records, and tenant correspondence
Provide excellent customer service through phone etiquette, in-person interactions, and CRM tools to foster positive relationships with tenants

Experience

Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on residential or commercial properties
Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and landlord-tenant law is highly desirable
Hands-on experience using Yardi or similar property management software for data entry and reporting
Strong background in legal administrative tasks related to contracts, leases, and compliance documentation
Demonstrated ability in customer service roles within property management or real estate environments
Office experience involving filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions
Knowledge of facilities management practices including property maintenance coordination and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
Excellent negotiation skills combined with conflict management abilities to resolve tenant or vendor issues effectively
