Full Job Description

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team as a part-time contractor, providing psychiatric services to our clients in the Macon location. The ideal candidate will work 8-12 hours per week and will serve the communities in Augusta, GA and Macon, GA

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
Conduct medication management and prescribe medications as needed.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Offer psychoeducation and medication management information to patients and their families.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations in the electronic health record.
Participate in any meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies, when needed.
Stay updated with the latest developments in psychiatric care and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Psychiatry.
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia.
Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
