COMPANY OVERVIEW
Oxbo is the worldwide leader in specialty harvesters. We design, manufacture, and distribute innovative harvesting equipment and related products for the application, berry, citrus, coffee, field corn, forage, fresh market vegetable, olives, processed vegetable, seed, and vineyard markets.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules that support the manufacturing of specialty agricultural harvesting equipment and related spare parts. This includes planning for complex assemblies, fabrication processes, hydraulic and electrical systems integration, and seasonally driven customer demand cycles. The Production Planner ensures materials, components, and sub‑assemblies are available to meet build schedules while minimizing delays and optimizing workflow.
This position will rely heavily on SYSPRO for planning, scheduling, and work order management, and will serve as a key participant in Oxbo’s ERP transition from SYSPRO to QAD. Responsibilities include system testing, master data cleansing for BOMs and routings, validating agricultural-equipment-specific workflows, and supporting end‑user readiness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Develops and maintains production schedules for ag harvesting equipment, including weldments, frame assemblies, hydraulic systems, wiring harnesses, belts/chains, powertrains, and operator‑station components.
· Analyzes demand tied to seasonal harvest cycles and adjusts production priorities to meet customer delivery windows.
· Creates, maintains, and adjusts work orders in SYSPRO, ensuring BOM accuracy for fabricated, machined, and purchased agricultural equipment components.
· Coordinates with Supply Chain to monitor availability of critical long‑lead items such as hydraulic pumps, cylinders, gearboxes, engines, PTO components, tires, controllers, and sensors.
· Works closely with Fabrication, Weld, Paint, and Assembly departments to sequence work based on capacity constraints, shop‑floor routing, and equipment availability.
· Plays a key role in supporting the transition from SYSPRO to QAD, and maintains and ensures the accuracy and integrity of production‑related data in both SYSPRO and QAD throughout the transition and beyond.
· Monitors WIP flow and proactively resolves bottlenecks, especially in areas impacting critical sub‑assembly timing (e.g., chassis fabrication or hydraulic assembly).
· Works with Engineering to incorporate ECOs/ECNs into active production schedules with minimal disruption.
· Communicates daily priorities to production management and collaborates to resolve schedule conflicts.
· Reviews and adjusts capacity planning models based on actual labor availability, production rates, and equipment throughput.
· Supports continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing lead times, improving schedule accuracy, and strengthening manufacturing readiness.
· Supports effective and efficient business practice.
· Embraces and follows all safety policies, procedures, and programs.
· Maintains positive business relationships, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
· Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling within manufacturing; agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, machinery, or fabrication‑intensive industries strongly preferred.
· Experience with SYSPRO, QAD, or similar ERP/MRP systems.
· Understanding of manufacturing processes used in ag equipment production, including fabrication, machining, welding, painting, and mechanical/electrical assembly.
· Strong analytical and planning skills with the ability to interpret BOMs, routings, and technical drawings.
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
· Ability to manage multiple fast‑moving priorities in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in agricultural or off‑highway equipment manufacturing.
· Experience with ERP implementation or module configuration.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods.
· Understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, or other core functions found in ag equipment assemblies.
