Position Summary
The Production Planner will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and material within or between departments according to the production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production information, schedules, etc.; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs and production.
Essential Functions
- Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
- Revise production schedules when required due to labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with operations.
- Review documents, such as production schedules and work orders.
- Book all service loads into and out of the plant
- Build all service loads in PROTRACE verifying pricing
- Invoice customer loads when the primary invoice is out.
- Ensures/Revises yields with production supervisor to ensure yield data
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate product is produced to fill sales orders
- Monitors RACTO/E-coli testing to ensure what product is eligible to ship
- Reports on the total RACTO level in product
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assists in label printing for all export loads.
- Conducts long short reporting of a four-week period for all orders
- Oversees preparation and sample shipments
- Supervises the Administrative Assistant.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bookkeeping training preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
