PRIMARY FOCUS
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance operations to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support production performance. This role drives preventative maintenance execution, champions continuous improvement, and ensures full compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, while developing a high-performing maintenance team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities for this position are provided at the highest level within the region and include, but not limited to, the following.
· Lead and drive execution of preventative maintenance (PM) programs, ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed within planned downtime and equipment is maintained in base operating condition.
· Support routine rebuilds, repairs, and maintenance activities, including annual and bi-annual work to sustain equipment performance and reliability.
· Partner with Production to plan and schedule maintenance work, including overhauls, installations, and special projects, to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
· Support execution of equipment installations and line modifications, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and aligned with operational requirements.
· Utilize and maintain CMMS (Redzone) to plan, track, and optimize maintenance activities, data, and performance.
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians (approx. 10 direct reports), building capability, accountability, and engagement across the team.
· Own hiring and staffing of the maintenance team, ensuring the right talent and skillsets are in place to support operational needs.
· Drive workforce planning and scheduling, adjusting labor resources and hours to meet maintenance demands and operational priorities.
· Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Production and other departments, positioning Maintenance as a proactive and reliable service partner.
· Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts, partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability, extend asset life, and reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
· Lead and execute ongoing improvement projects to increase throughput, efficiency, and overall equipment performance.
· Champion safety and ensure full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, embedding safe work practices across all maintenance activities.
· Ensure adherence to safety standards, including training, safe work procedures, and alignment with company and regulatory guidelines.
· Monitor and enforce housekeeping standards, maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
· Manage and oversee external contractors, ensuring the right expertise is leveraged to support maintenance activities and specialized work.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance function within a manufacturing environment.
· Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a supervisor or manager capacity.
· Journeyman certification in a relevant trade (e.g., millwright, industrial electrician, or power engineering) preferred.
· Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and influence a diverse team.
· Working knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and CMMS platforms (e.g., Redzone), including setup, execution, and optimization.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform under pressure, managing competing demands and meeting deadlines.
· Sound judgment and decision-making capability, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role operates in a hybrid office and production environment, utilizing a computer and related systems to manage schedules, track performance, and coordinate daily operations. The position requires frequent and consistent presence on the production floor and in maintenance areas to, support team members, and ensure performance, safety, and operational standards are achieved.
Standard Hours: Typically, this role will work standard business hours, but flexibility to support all 3 shifts is required.
Extended Hours: Extended hours and weekends may be necessary.
Safety Protocols: Adherence to safety protocols and regulations is mandatory. This role must ensure that all team members follow safety guidelines to prevent incidents and injuries.
