This is a hands-on project leadership role for someone who thrives on managing several projects at once, keeps a sharp eye on the details, and drives work forward without waiting to be asked. You will coordinate engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver hardware and connected-product programs on time, on budget, and to spec.
Position Duties:
- Lead multiple simultaneous projects across their full lifecycle, balancing competing priorities, timelines, and resources.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers, and keep them current as programs evolve.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning electrical, mechanical, software, and operations to keep deliverables aligned and on track
- Track progress against milestones, identify risks and blockers early, and drive issues to resolution.
- Communicate status, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Own project documentation and ensure scope, requirements, and changes are captured and controlled.
- Continuously improve project management practices, tooling, and processes across the team.
- Communicates Project status with customers and management, as needed, during the Product Development cycle.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects through successful completion, along with hands-on experience using project management software such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, or Jira. They should demonstrate strong attention to detail, a track record of identifying and addressing issues before they escalate, and a proactive, self-driven approach to taking ownership and moving projects forward independently. A technical background, or substantial experience managing technical projects, is essential, particularly with programs involving printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), software development, and mechanical enclosures. Experience with Bluetooth or cellular technologies, connected-product or telematics development, and a PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification would be considered a plus.
