Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Tax Preparation Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional financial services! This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to support tax professionals in preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. You will gain valuable experience in tax law, accounting software, and client communication while helping clients navigate their financial obligations with confidence. If you’re passionate about finance, detail-oriented, and eager to grow your expertise in tax compliance and reporting, this position is perfect for you!

Duties

Assist in gathering and organizing tax documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and other financial statements
Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations by reviewing relevant documentation
Communicate effectively with clients to clarify and answer basic tax-related questions
Maintain accurate records of all tax documents and reports for audit readiness
Collaborate with senior staff to identify potential deductions or credits

Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and tax law fundamentals
Experience with tax preparation or have attended a tax course
Exceptional client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

Income Tax: 1 year (Preferred)
