Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated <PERSON> to join our team. We are looking for someone to prepare and cook meals for hunters and other guests that will be staying at our lodge from September through December. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment. Your expertise in food handling, menu planning, and culinary techniques will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist in menu planning.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper sanitation procedures, including cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment.
Handle food safely by adhering to food safety management protocols and proper food handling techniques.
Support food preparation activities such as slicing, dicing, cooking, and plating dishes with precision and attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service during busy periods.

Qualifications

(Preferred but not required) Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment demonstrating knowledge of food industry standards.
Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and recipe adherence.
Familiarity with safety standards in food production and food safety management practices.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high hygiene standards.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
Knowledge of meal preparation, menu planning, and food handling regulations is essential for success in this role.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
