Full Job Description

At Trinity Supportive Living Services, we believe that quality Mental Health Support Specialists are essential for those with mental illness/developmental disabilities to achieve personal success, as well as within the community. Our Mental Health Support Specialist will work with our client(s) in a variety of activities to improve their quality of life and achieve greater independence. We offer the following

Part-time flexible schedules, including overnight shifts-get paid to sleep!
Currently hiring for days, weekends, and overnight shifts.
Great “side gig” for teachers, social workers, etc., or resume builder for students-get hands-on experience while earning your degree.
Starting hourly wage of $20.00 awake hours-$10 for sleep (12a-6a)
PTO and additional benefits after 30 days of employment, and successful completion of probationary period

Principal Accountabilities

Support client in activities of daily living, medication management, household maintenance, and community involvement
Provide support based on knowledge and understanding of client's behavioral support plan
Maintain accurate, detailed, and thorough documentation
Develop a trauma-informed relationship with the client, and maintain appropriate boundaries
Ensure the well-being of the client, and maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment
Engage with client in activities and interactions designed to achieve goals towards greater independence
No personal cares

Client Services: Community Integration

Attend meetings and continued training as needed
Transport client to recreational activities and events in the community
Assist client in developing and maintaining social and family supports
Engage client in activities that contribute to an overall improvement of their quality of life

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be 18 years or older
1-2 years of experience working with people with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities, AND/OR Associates or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other related area of study.
Proficiency in the English language is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to tolerate medium to physical effort including walking, standing, lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, and reaching
Possess a valid driver’s license, car insurance and own dependable transportation
Successful completion of caregiver background check and necessary trainings
Ability to read, write and follow directions and care plans
Proof of citizenship
