Studio Manager
Lead the Team. Elevate the Operation. Growth Potential.
OUR MISSION
The therapeutic massage experience we provide at A Better Body helps our clients live pain free, with less stress and empowers them to thrive in all aspects of life, because when you feel better, you DO better!
Are you an organized, strategic thinker who loves leading people, improving processes, and keeping a business operating at a high level? A Better Body, Madison's woman-owned, relationship-centered massage studio, is looking for a strong, people-focused Studio Manager to oversee the daily operations of our thriving wellness space.
This role is the backbone of the studio. You'll guide our leadership team, ensure our client experience stays exceptional, and make sure every operational piece fits together smoothly. You're the first point of support when team members need help with escalated issues, the person who can see the big picture, and the one who ensures small details never get missed.
A Real Career Path — Not Just a Job
This role is designed to grow. As A Better Body expands, this role has the potential within the next 2–3 years to grow into a General Manager role overseeing two or more locations. We're not looking for someone to fill a seat; we're looking for someone who wants to help build what comes next and grow into that future alongside us.
Our Culture — And How This Role Leads It
A Better Body is built on a culture of excellence, care, and personal growth. We've spent over a decade earning our reputation as Madison's go-to destination for high-quality therapeutic massage. Our clients rave about us, not just because of our exceptional providers, but because of the warm, welcoming environment our whole team creates.
We run on three things — Superfan Mindset, Show Up Bright, and Own It, Grow It — and this role doesn't just work inside that culture, it's responsible for carrying it. You'll be the one modeling those values for every leader on the team, and making sure they show up in how we treat clients and each other, every day.
We believe in taking care of our team just as much as we take care of our clients. We foster a supportive, collaborative workplace where your ideas matter, growth is encouraged, and work-life balance is valued and protected — not just talked about.
About the Role
The Studio Manager is the engine that keeps the business running smoothly. You will oversee all leadership roles — Client Experience Coordinators (CEC), Lead Therapist(s), and our Chair Massage Coordinator, plus the rest of the team — ensuring tasks are completed to our standards and the studio maintains its high level of service.
This is a leadership role, not a “doing everything yourself” role. Your work is building systems, delegating effectively, holding people accountable, coaching, and improving processes — stepping in yourself only when it's truly necessary. When your team is trained well, that should mostly mean true emergencies or escalations.
A Better Body has been owned and operated by the same person for over 14 years, and maintaining that level of quality is core to who we are. This role exists to protect that standard as we grow — you'll be directly responsible for making sure our reputation and operational excellence never slip, even as the business scales.
