Job title: MACHINE OPERATOR, General
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Completes set-up, change over and operation of our foam cutting secondary operations machinery including the waterjet cutter, horizontal slitter, hand and vertical profile machines, die cutters and down cutter equipment.
· Performs all necessary adjustments to produce quality products.
· Completes all quality check paperwork and procedures for each job produced.
· Performs all area duties when required and as assigned.
· Informs supervisor of any safety or quality issues.
· Maintains equipment as directed by supervisor.
· Maintains a clean working area.
· Follows required schedule with regular and consistent attendance.
· Complies with all Company policies and procedures.
· Understands and demonstrates safe work practices at all times to prevent injury of self or others.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and understand the following:
· Simple CAD Drawings
· Simple Blueprints
· Sales Orders and work instructions
- Ability to make accurate measurements using a tape measure.
- Ability to work scheduled work hours along with any required overtime.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language (speak, read and write)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to perform all physical requirements for change over and operations for extended periods of time, including but not limited to:
o Bending, reaching, stretching
o kneeling, stooping
o Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
o Standing for up to 8 hours at a time
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School degree and/or equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not necessary. Will consider those without experience with a great attitude and a willingness to learn. Forklift training is a plus but will train on site.
