Full Job Description

Our Paralegal role includes assisting with personal injury cases from initial representation letters through finalizing settlements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and compassionate. They also need strong communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and a passion for helping clients navigate their injury claim recovery process.

Teamwork is key, as you'll work regularly with multiple colleagues while ensuring client needs are met promptly and professionally.

Description of Duties:

Case Management: Utilizing our case management software to oversee all aspects of client cases while in pre-litigation and settlement.
Client Communication: Our Case Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client files, providing regular, proactive updates, addressing questions and offering emotional support throughout the legal process.
Document Preparation and Filing: Assist with the preparation and execution of legal documents, including Letters of Representation, Demands, Negotiation paperwork, Complaints, Discovery Documents, and Settlement Agreements.
Coordination with Medical Providers: Collect medical records, bills, and reports necessary for case evaluation and management. Also advocate for client needs and assist them in finding appropriate medical care when needed.
Timeline Management: Track and ensure all deadlines and important dates are met, including the statute of limitations and regular workflow deadlines.
Settlement and Negotiation Support: Assist attorneys with negotiating settlements and bill reductions. Will also prepare settlement documents and communicate all terms clearly to clients.
General Administrative Duties: Perform general administrative tasks, such as scheduling client appointments, organizing files, and maintaining the case management software.

Qualifications:

Experience (preferred, not required): 1 year of experience in personal injury law firm or similar legal environment or completion of paralegal studies
Litigation Experience is a strong plus
Education: Associate’s Degree or higher

Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and OneDrive

Self-motivated and proactive
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a relatively fast-paced environment

Compensation is made up of the following:

Competitive Base Salary
Uncapped Production Pay
