Sales Executive – SaaS Point-of-Sale Platform

About PawnMate

PawnMate is a growing SaaS point-of-sale platform built specifically for pawn shops, buy-sell stores, FFL dealers, and related retail businesses.

Our software helps business owners manage pawn loans, inventory, customer communication, compliance, payments, reporting, and day-to-day store operations through one powerful cloud-based platform.

We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive to help grow our customer base and bring PawnMate to more businesses across North America.

About the Role

This is a true hunter sales role, supported by company-generated leads from PawnMate’s outbound reach campaigns.

We are looking for someone who is confident making outbound calls, following up with prospects, qualifying opportunities, booking demos, running software presentations, and closing new business.

The ideal candidate is competitive, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable selling a SaaS product to business owners and decision makers. You should enjoy building pipeline, following up with urgency, overcoming objections, and asking for the sale.

This is a full-cycle sales role. You will be responsible for moving prospects from first conversation through demo, proposal, close, and handoff to onboarding.

Responsibilities

Prospect and cold call pawn shops, buy-sell stores, FFL dealers, firearm retailers, and related businesses
Follow up on leads generated through PawnMate’s outbound reach campaigns
Qualify prospects and turn opportunities into booked software demos
Build and manage a consistent pipeline of new sales opportunities
Conduct live demos of PawnMate’s SaaS point-of-sale platform
Clearly communicate how PawnMate helps customers save time, improve operations, manage compliance, and grow their business
Follow up with prospects throughout the sales process
Handle objections, negotiate, and close new customer agreements
Maintain accurate activity, notes, and pipeline updates in the CRM
Work closely with onboarding and support teams to ensure a smooth customer handoff
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales, business development, account executive, or similar role
Strong cold calling and outbound prospecting skills
Comfortable selling over the phone and through video meetings
Ability to run professional software demos
Strong communication, follow-up, and closing skills
Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven
Comfortable learning software and explaining technology in simple terms
Experience selling SaaS, point-of-sale systems, payments, retail technology, or business software is preferred
Experience selling to small business owners is an asset
Experience selling to pawn shops, FFL dealers, firearm retailers, or regulated retail businesses is a plus

Compensation

This role includes a base salary plus uncapped commission.

Base Salary: $80,000 USD
Target Commission: $60,000 USD
On-Target Earnings: $140,000 USD
Commission: Uncapped

Commissions are based on new monthly recurring revenue sold. The commission plan is designed to reward new customer acquisition and successful customer activation.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a sales hunter who does not wait for leads to come in.

You should be someone who can pick up the phone, create conversations, follow up with urgency, book demos, present the product, and close business. PawnMate will support this role with leads from outbound reach campaigns, but success in this position will require strong personal activity, ownership, and consistent follow-up.

This role is best suited for someone who wants ownership of the full sales cycle and is motivated by performance-based earnings.
