In your role as the Production Planner at Sentry, you will be responsible for planning and releasing production jobs while ensuring material availability, accurate inventory control, and effective support of shop operations. This role also includes responsibility for machine shop programming and requires prior hands‑on machining and/or programming experience. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Inventory to ensure production schedules are met efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Are you excited about this work?
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols on the shop floor
Utilize ERP system to determine current material availability or anticipated date of receipt
Ensure required materials are present prior to releasing job orders to production
Process the Material Planner Workbench daily for engineering releases, customer orders and stock replenishment
Organize and deliver necessary materials to specified locations to meet production goals
Collaborate with Engineering to ensure an accurate Bill of Material
Process engineering releases to ensure designs meet manufacturing guidelines
Review manufacturing requirements of all parts to verify if our manufacturing capabilities offer the best cost and lead time.
Solicit quotes from outside vendors as needed
Create NC programs for the machine centers within manufacturing
Process add-ons for jobs on the floor
Process aftermarket orders in the same manner as engineering releases
Collaborate with appropriate departments as a liaison to ensure effective working relationships

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a production and material planning role
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required
Prior experience with an ERP system required, Syteline experience preferred
Prior machine programming experience required, Gibbs Cam experience preferred
Demonstrated excellence in production planning and quality control principles
Excellent attention to detail
