ABOUT SEIU WISCONSIN:

SEIU Wisconsin is Wisconsin's largest and fastest-growing healthcare and property services workers union. We represent over 8,000 workers across the State. In these tough economic times, there has been no stronger advocate - for safe jobs with good wages and benefits for workers in Wisconsin.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This 18-month limited position entails responsibility for the development and maintenance of our dues compliance and collection program. The Senior Data and Dues Specialist will collaborate with union leadership, employer human resource departments and the field staff, in order to oversee and manage all union data collection and processing systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Support the union mission to empower workers and communities across Wisconsin through data integrity and operational oversight.

The position is responsible for the following tasks:

DATA & DUES COLLECTION & COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and manage all local union dues collection and compliance systems.
Design, implement and maintain a dashboard reporting system on dues compliance and collection.
Serve as the primary liaison with employers human resource departments to ensure the accuracy and compliance of the deductions from our members by the employers.
Designs and interprets reports for the officers, directors and the executive board to ensure the local’s entire leadership has accurate data to enable them to make strategic decisions that lead to financial independence and self-sufficiency.
Develop and implement training for local staff in the use of campaign data and build internal infrastructure for the local.
Works closely with department staff to develop systems that help the local track campaign progress and local member engagement goals
Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with leadership and international union data and technology staff to understand and resolve local data challenges
Integrates field data with internal and external and data sources to provide enhanced analysis of political and organizing efforts, both internal and external
Develop and maintain the implementation of digital forms for membership, dues and COPE deduction authorizations

DATA & DUES PROCESSING RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and manage all local union data processing systems.
Design, optimize and maintain an accurate and efficient dues collection program.
Serve as the primary administrator of the dues system, managing user access, ensuring system accuracy, providing training to staff on system usage, and developing policies and procedures for the dues system.
Act as the primary liaison with union employers to verify and update membership information.
Review and reconcile incoming dues information from union employers to guarantee accuracy.
Generate and maintain membership and dues reports for staff at all organizational levels.
Process digital membership forms and transmit documentation to the respective employer for authorization

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with office logistics specialist on the daily operations for all SEIU Wisconsin locations, including utility management and inventory supplies
Provide planning and coordination support for various union events
Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with creating dash board based reports
Experience with union membership or customer database software
Experience using MS Excel to format, clean, and analyze information
Dedication to the Labor and Social Justice Movement.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of union membership databases such as (Union ware, Emma, VAN, etc.) or leading commercial databases (MS CRM, MS Access, Salesforce, etc.)
Ability to type/enter data accurately and quickly (40 words per minute preferred)

WORK LOCATION: This position is primarily in Madison, WI with some travel required. This position can work remotely with approval of the Director of Operations. This Position will need a valid driver's license along with proof of automobile insurance coverage

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Starting salary range of $76,541.03 to $88,731.83 based on experience and qualifications

Company benefits include; paid premiums for health, dental & vision insurance, contribution to a pension plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.

This is an 18 month termed position with the opportunity for extension based on performance and funding availability.
