Full Job Description

A privately held multiple veterinary practice with a team of 20 employees in Wisconsin seeks an experienced manager to join our team as a Practice Manager overseeing two clinics. This role focuses on boosting productivity, profitability, and growth while fostering leadership and ongoing development within the team. Candidates must have strong financial and office management skills, along with proven ability in leading a diverse group.

The position is in Sun Prairie WI with two locations within 3.5 miles of each other.

· CHECKOUT Vet is a client and pet-centric wellness center for dogs and cats. The focus is convenience, safety and security as well as reducing patient and client stress and anxiety. The clinic is a ‘drive-through’ clinic where pets remain in vehicles or adjacent exam rooms for wellness services.

· CHECKIN Vet is full-service animal clinic providing medical consultation, preventive care, spays & neuters, complete laboratory services, diagnostic radiography, dentistry, surgery, reproductive services, prenatal care and other specialized veterinary services.

Key Responsibilities and Impact:

· Foster a Positive Culture: Responsible for establishing and maintaining an engaged, collaborative team environment that reflects the clinic’s core values.

· Team Development: Oversee the professional growth of all staff members, from onboarding new personnel to providing training opportunities for ongoing development.

· Business Operations Management: Accountable for the clinic’s financial stability, including budget oversight, payroll administration, accounts receivable management, inventory control and related responsibilities.

· Talent Acquisition and Team Building: Lead the recruitment, interview and selection processes to secure highly qualified candidates for clinical positions.

· Client Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional service delivery to clients and their pets, address client concerns promptly, and cultivate enduring relationships with clients and the broader community.

Qualifications:

· Emphasis on scaling to achieve maximum growth of CHECKOUT Veterinary services.

· Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to inspire a thriving workplace culture.

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities.

· Successful history of recruiting and hiring staff.

· Driven, accountable, and results-oriented attitude.

· Veterinary experience not required. Healthcare experience a plus.

Duties Include:

· Achieving maximum practice growth and efficiency.

· Supervising daily operations to maintain smooth workflows and superior pet care.

· Leading staff, offering direction, and encouraging professional growth and teamwork.

· Managing HR responsibilities such as hiring, evaluations, and personnel record keeping.

· Building effective relationships with staff, clients, vendors, sales reps, and owners.

· Quickly and professionally handling client complaints or issues.

· Organizing employee schedules.

· Acting as the main contact for external services, vendors, and partners.

· Taking on additional tasks as required.
