- optical metrology
- coatings
- support manufacturing
- polishing and fabrication
- evaluate optical layouts
- troubleshooting problems and explaining concepts
- precision mirror systems
- IR material assembly, applications and evaluation
- support sales and marketing
- working with suppliers
- quality control
- writing work instructions
The sucessful candidate will:
- be able to take on many tasks
- have mechanical aptitutde
- work well with customers if necessary
- explain concepts interally
- understand and apply common optics concepts
- 2 years or more of work experience desirable
This position will provide exposure to many systems including:
- IR and visible microscopy
- Zygo and aphsere metrology
- many FTIR and UV/Vis spectrometers
- CNC polishing machines
- diamond turning machines
- IAD ebeam coating machines
- optical design software
- IR detector technology
