Full Job Description

The staff accountant position is accountable for the overall financial health and the day-to-day accounting function of office operations. The staff accountant position supports the financial health and growth of the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with the CFO and Senior Accountant

· Accounts Payable.

· Oversee vendor relationships and payroll activities for staff.

· Process financial representative commissions and allowances.

· Administer office staff retirement contributions and enrollment.

· Maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the office.

· Monitor banking activities of the office.

· Preparation and filing of the annual federal and state tax returns.

· Educate new financial representatives on their compensation paid through commissions, fees, and bonuses.

· Account for the accuracy of the accounting records of the office.

Focused on the financial health of the office

· Monitor financial representative indebtedness and process collection procedures as necessary.

· Forecast and prepare budgets for the office operations.

· Regularly meet with leadership to analyze budget projections and recommend adjustments and corrective action.

· Monitor and maximize cash flow.

The qualified candidate should have:

· 1 year or more of experience in accounting, general ledger maintenance, payroll, and benefits administration.

· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.

· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
