Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Claims Specialist with expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy billing and insurance claims processing. In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end claims submission process, ensuring accurate coding, timely reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Your dedication will help facilitate seamless communication between providers, insurance companies, and patients, ultimately supporting the delivery of quality ABA therapy services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team committed to improving client outcomes through efficient claims management.

Responsibilities

Review and process insurance claims for ABA therapy services using billing software and EMR/EHR systems.
Ensure accurate application of medical coding.
Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage details prior to claim submission.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by investigating discrepancies and resubmitting corrected claims promptly.
Maintain comprehensive records of all claim submissions, adjustments, and communications with insurance providers.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with billing regulations.
Stay current on healthcare claims management policies, insurance guidelines, and coding updates to optimize reimbursement processes.
Credentialing and re-credentialing providers within our organization.

Qualifications

Proven experience in medical billing and claims processing within a healthcare setting, preferably with ABA therapy or behavioral health services.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare claims procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and other healthcare IT tools.
Familiarity with CPT coding procedures
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies, providers, and patients.
Knowledge of health insurance policies, medical collection processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
