Job Summary:
Perform quality support, product preparation, disassembly, cleaning, deburring, product marking, hardness testing, traceability, and documentation activities in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality system requirements. Support Quality Control personnel by preparing products for inspection, maintaining product identification and traceability, completing assigned quality records, and performing quality-related manufacturing activities under the direction of an authorized QC Inspector. This position is responsible for the quality and accuracy of work performed and for promptly reporting any actual or suspected nonconformities. This position does not have authority for independent product acceptance, final inspection, release of product, or disposition of nonconforming product. Essential Duties:
1. Perform assembly, stamping, deburring, product marking, material handling, and manufacturing operations in accordance with approved engineering drawings, procedures, work instructions, routers, and quality requirements.
2. Polish, deburr, chase threads, clean, and prepare components for assembly, inspection, or testing.
3. Support Quality Control personnel by performing assigned quality support activities under the direction of a qualified QC Inspector.
4. Disassemble products and components in accordance with approved procedures, engineering drawings, routers, and work instructions.
5. Assist with Disassembly, Cleaning, and Inspection (DCI) activities, including cleaning components, documenting conditions, taking photographs, organizing components, and completing assigned records.
6. Stencil, stamp, engrave, and permanently mark products in accordance with engineering, quality, and customer requirements.
7. Perform hardness testing and other assigned production or quality verification activities in accordance with approved procedures.
8. Verify product identification, traceability information, serial numbers, heat numbers, and product markings for completeness and accuracy.
9. Prepare products for receiving, in-process, and final inspection by ensuring cleanliness, accessibility, identification, and required documentation.
10. Complete production, traceability, inspection support, and quality records accurately using approved paper or electronic systems (e.g., BRIDGR and SAP Business One).
11. Read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, routers, assembly procedures, work instructions, and related manufacturing documentation.
12. Notify the Supervisor or QC Inspector of damaged material, documentation discrepancies, suspected nonconforming product, process concerns, or unsafe conditions.
13. Safely operate grinders, deburring equipment, drill presses, pneumatic tools, hardness testers, forklifts, overhead cranes, and other assigned equipment as required.
14. Assist with material movement, warehouse support, staging, packaging, shipping, receiving, inventory activities, and general shop operations as assigned.
15. Assist QC Inspectors during receiving, in-process, and final inspections by retrieving parts, positioning components, providing required documentation, and supporting inspection activities as directed.
16. Perform general facility maintenance as directed, including housekeeping, pressure washing, waste disposal, maintenance, and other support activities.
17. Keep management informed of issues affecting safety, quality, production, equipment, or schedules.
18. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with QHSE requirements.
19. Comply with the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all applicable company policies and procedures.
20. Adhere to all company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements.
Secondary Duties:
1. Assist manufacturing personnel as directed by management.
2. Support inventory, material movement, packaging, and warehouse activities when required.
3. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
1. Technical Skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, bills of material, routers, assembly procedures, work instructions, and inspection documentation.
- Working knowledge of product identification, traceability, and quality documentation requirements.
- Ability to safely operate deburring equipment, grinders, drill presses, hardness testers, pneumatic tools, forklifts, overhead cranes, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to accurately complete electronic and paper quality records.
- Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Office and approved company systems (e.g., BRIDGR and SAP Business One).
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment as required by work instructions.
- Ability to identify obvious product damage, defects, missing identification, and documentation discrepancies and promptly notify Quality Control personnel.

Pay: $17.00 - $29.00 per hour
