Job Title: Customer Account Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site

We are a growing company in the agriculture/feed industry dedicated to excellent customer service and long-term dealer partnerships. We’re looking for a motivated individual who enjoys talking with people, solving problems, and building relationships. This role is perfect for someone who wants a stable base salary plus the opportunity to earn commission on sales they generate.

Role Overview
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day customer relationships, driving sales growth within assigned accounts, and ensuring a smooth and accurate order-to-delivery process.

This position sits at the center of communication between customers, sales, and operations. Success in this role means customers are taken care of, orders are accurate, and opportunities to grow business are consistently identified and acted on.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Management & Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned dealer and retail accounts
Maintain consistent, proactive communication with customers (weekly call cadence)
Respond quickly and professionally to all customer inquiries, issues, and requests
Build strong relationships that drive long-term loyalty and growth

Inside Sales Execution

Execute monthly promotional plans and communicate offers clearly to customers
Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and introduce new products
Maintain and actively manage a call plan for all assigned accounts
Track and report progress toward sales goals and promotional targets

Order Management & Accuracy

Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
Coordinate with operations to ensure timely production and delivery
Verify pricing, promotions, and freight are applied correctly
Troubleshoot and resolve order issues quickly

Coordination with Sales & Operations

Work closely with outside sales reps to support territory growth
Communicate customer feedback, needs, and opportunities to the team
Align with production and logistics to ensure customer expectations are met
Support execution of new product launches and promotions

Administrative & System Responsibilities

Maintain accurate customer records and account details
Track call activity, sales efforts, and promotional performance
Assist with invoicing, order follow-up, and issue resolution as needed
Support internal reporting and data tracking initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in sales or customer service (inside sales preferred, but not required).
Strong communication skills and a comfort level making outbound sales calls.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems.
Positive attitude, team player, and self-motivated to hit goals.
