Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at our iconic Alehouse located on Commercial Street in the heart of Portland’s Old Port. As Portland’s first-ever Ale House, Three Dollar Deweys has played a major role in shaping Maine’s craft beer scene. We pride ourselves on fresh seafood, creative pub fare, handcrafted beers, exceptional hospitality, and a legendary atmosphere. As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, managing the staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness. If you have a passion for the food industry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures

- Ensure excellent customer service by greeting and assisting guests, resolving any issues or complaints promptly

- Manage and train staff members, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks - Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness

- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service - Implement and enforce health and safety regulations

- Ability to act as a Bartender, Server, Expo and/or Host to assist front of house team.

- Handle cash management duties, including cash handling, deposits, and reconciliations Qualifications:

-Minimum of 3 years of full-service high-volume experience

- Previous experience in a similar role not limited to Bartending, Serving, and Hosting.

- Strong knowledge of the food industry, including food handling and safety regulations - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team

- Exceptional customer service skills - Proficient in using POS systems(Toast) for order processing and inventory management

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure

-Working closely with GM on labor costs, beer and liquor costs, drink menus.
