Full Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated school psychologist, supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth in a vibrant educational environment. This contract role near Portland, ME, offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and administration to foster student well-being and success.

Key Qualifications:

Valid school psychologist licensure in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
Experience with psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, and IEP processes
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse student populations
Collaborative approach with staff, students, and parents/guardians
Ability to develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans
Proficiency in handling confidential information professionally

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students
Interpret assessment results and make data-driven recommendations
Participate in the development, review, and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide counseling services, crisis intervention, and consultative support
Serve as a key member of multidisciplinary teams, collaborating on student support strategies
Guide staff in understanding learning and behavior challenges
Deliver in-service training or consultations to educators and parents as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with local and state guidelines
