Position Summary

As a Project SEARCH Job Coach, you'll play a vital role in helping young adults with disabilities successfully transition from school to meaningful employment. Working alongside students as they complete internship rotations at a community business site, you'll provide hands-on coaching, encouragement, and individualized support that helps them build confidence, develop workplace skills, and discover their potential.

Job Responsibilities:

Empower young adults with disabilities to build confidence, develop workplace skills, and achieve greater independence through real-world internship experiences.
Provide individualized coaching, encouragement, and support as participants learn new job tasks and navigate workplace expectations.
Help participants identify their strengths, explore career interests, and discover pathways to meaningful employment.
Partner with interns throughout their job search journey, including resume development, interview preparation, and job applications.
Create opportunities for career exploration through job shadows, informational interviews, and community-based work experiences.
Collaborate with instructors, families, employers, and community partners to support participant success and long-term employment outcomes.
Teach and reinforce workplace, communication, self-advocacy, and problem-solving skills that help participants thrive both on and off the job.
Support participants during interviews, onboarding, and employment transitions, celebrating progress and encouraging growth every step of the way.
Build strong relationships with employers to create inclusive workplaces where individuals with disabilities can succeed.
Document participant progress and outcomes while helping demonstrate the life-changing impact of the program.

Education/Qualifications:
