Family Assistant / Household Manager (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Location: West Los Angeles
We are seeking a long-term Family Assistant / Household Manager to become an important part of our household. We offer a stable, respectful work environment with consistent weekday hours and are looking for someone who takes pride in creating a well-organized, welcoming home. We strive to provide clear expectations, open communication, and a positive working relationship built on mutual respect.
Our daughter is 6 years old and in elementary school, so this is not a traditional nanny position. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys maintaining an organized home, preparing healthy meals, and helping with after-school childcare. We hope to find someone who is looking for a long-term position and will become a trusted part of our family's daily routine.
Schedule
We are flexible depending on the right candidate.
Part-Time
- Approximately 25–35 hours per week
- Typically 5–7 hours per day
- Most days ending around 6:00 PM
Full-Time
- Up to 40 hours per week for candidates interested in additional household responsibilities.
The schedule is primarily weekdays. Occasional flexibility is appreciated, but evenings and weekends are generally not expected.
What a Typical Week Looks Like
No two days are exactly the same. A typical week may include:
- Preparing dinner a few evenings each week
- Grocery shopping and running occasional errands
- Picking up mail and packages
- Keeping the home clean, organized, and well maintained
- Laundry and changing bed linens
- School pickup and transportation to activities
- Helping with homework or after-school routines
- Coordinating occasional household vendors or deliveries
Some days will naturally involve more childcare, while others will focus more on household responsibilities. We value flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to prioritize based on the needs of the day rather than completing a fixed checklist every day.
