Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Billing & Collections Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end billing process, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate financial records. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycle management, enhance client relationships, and support our organization’s financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about accounting, customer service, and financial analysis to make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and issue accurate invoices using various billing software and accounting systems, including QuickBooks, excel, and specialized platforms.
Manage accounts receivable by tracking outstanding balances, following up on overdue payments, and reconciling discrepancies through detailed account analysis.
Conduct collections account management by negotiating payment plans, resolving billing disputes, and maintaining positive client communication via phone and email, working with sales team.
Perform data entry with precision into spreadsheets and financial software, ensuring all transactions adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Reconcile accounts receivable and payable through journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Support revenue cycle management by analyzing billing data using Excel formulas and data analysis techniques to identify trends or discrepancies.
Process truck packs and customer payments and returns.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts receivable management, collections account management, or billing.
Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar systems; experience with billing software is highly preferred.
Familiarity with GAAP standards, SOX compliance procedures, and technical accounting concepts.
Excellent data entry skills with proficiency in Excel data analysis, formulas, spreadsheets, and 10-key typing.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients via phone etiquette while demonstrating negotiation skills for collections.
Experience working in accounting environments is a plus
Strong analytical skills for account analysis and reconciliation tasks; ability to interpret financial concepts accurately.
Demonstrated organizational skills for managing multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
