Why your work matters

Our model is built to remove the fragmentation patients often experience. You will work close to orthopedic physicians and other specialists, helping the care team move with greater clarity, continuity, and empathy.

THE WORK

What you will own

Evaluate orthopedic and post-operative patients and translate clinical findings into clear, individualized plans of care.
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and other appropriate interventions.
Monitor progress, adjust plans thoughtfully, and communicate changes across the care team.
Educate patients and families so they understand the plan, their progress, and how to participate in recovery.
Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation that supports continuity of care and appropriate reimbursement.
Collaborate directly with orthopedic physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and rehabilitation team members.
Guide Rehabilitation Technicians and contribute to a safe, organized, high-accountability clinic environment.
Create an exceptional patient experience grounded in grace, kindness, honor, respect, and clinical excellence.

How you will connect across the business

Your onboarding includes time beyond your home clinic: a visit to at least one other clinic, the Ambulatory Surgery Center, and a half day at headquarters. You will meet executive leadership and learn how each headquarters function supports the clinics and patient experience.

You will also be assigned a mentor who exemplifies the Performance Ortho mission and values in practice. Your mentor, direct manager, and People Operations partner will support your 30-, 60-, and 90-day experience.

GROWTH AND OUTCOMES

What success looks like

First 30 days

Build relationships, learn clinical and documentation workflows, understand the full patient journey, and establish a clear development plan with your manager and mentor.

By 60 days

Manage an appropriate caseload with growing independence, communicate reliably across disciplines, and demonstrate consistent documentation and patient-education habits.

By 90 days and beyond

Deliver safe, patient-centered care with sound judgment; contribute to outcomes and patient experience; and identify one meaningful opportunity to strengthen care, flow, or teamwork.

What you bring

Required

Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
Current New Jersey Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain it before the start date.
Clear, compassionate communication and a commitment to timely, accurate documentation.
Clinical judgment, integrity, and a genuine desire to help people regain function and confidence.

Preferred

Outpatient orthopedic or post-operative rehabilitation experience.
Strong manual therapy and therapeutic exercise skills.
Experience collaborating across a multidisciplinary care team.

What you can expect from us

We are building Total Rewards around what helps exceptional clinicians do their best work and build a meaningful life beyond it.

Pay that honors your expertise and impact. A base salary of $95,000 to $120,000, with placement based on relevant experience, capabilities, and internal equity, plus eligibility for a performance bonus tied to a separate written plan.
A schedule built for a sustainable career. A Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends, and two built in half days each week, giving you meaningful clinical time and consistent room for life outside work.
Time away that grows with you. Our planned leave design starts regular full time employees with 120 hours of Vacation and Personal Time each year, increasing with service up to 160 hours. It also provides a separate 40 hour New Jersey Earned Sick Leave bank and eight paid holidays, including two Winter Restoration Days.
Support for life's important moments. Enhanced bereavement leave, Growing Together return support, and a parental bonding benefit that can bring eligible employees to 100 percent of base pay for up to eight workweeks when combined with approved State benefits.
Benefits designed to compete for exceptional clinicians. The proposed licensed provider package has Performance Ortho covering 85 percent of employee only medical coverage on the anchor plan, with broad network medical choices, dental, vision, HSA or FSA access, and retirement, life, and disability programs as finalized.
Care for the whole person and the whole family. Little Steps, Strong Starts helps employees find and navigate childcare resources. Programs in development include voluntary, confidential Pastoral Care and a Transformation Care Grant of up to $1,500 for qualifying unexpected personal or family hardship.
Growth surrounded by people who want you to win. You will receive an assigned onboarding mentor, clinical mentorship, direct access to an integrated orthopedic team, and role based development support that may include continuing education, licensure, certification, and company paid BLS training through the proposed Life Safety Team.
