Are you an inspiring educator or a skilled trades professional looking to give back? New hampshire Job Corps is seeking a passionate, adaptive Substitute Instructor to join our Education and Training team at the state-of-the-art New Hampshire Job Corps Center in Manchester, NH.
In this role, you will step into our academic classrooms or hands-on career training labs to mentor, lead, and equip young adults (ages 16–24) with the life-changing skills they need to start meaningful careers.

We are seeking instructors capable of supporting our core Manchester career pathways:
Construction & Infrastructure: Electrical and Facilities Maintenance
Advanced Technology: Advanced Manufacturing
Healthcare Careers: Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) and Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA)
Hospitality & Service: Culinary Arts and Hotel & Lodging
Protective Services: Advanced Homeland Security
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality instruction and hands-on guidance across academic or career technical disciplines.
Review daily lesson plans and training schedules to guarantee seamless, structured learning.
Foster a highly organized, safe, and positive lab or classroom environment that keeps students engaged.
Hold students accountable to Center dress codes and behavioral guidelines, helping them practice workplace-ready professionalism.
Model and mentor the foundational Career Success Standards required by program guidelines.
Protect the integrity of student records by ensuring absolute accuracy and zero manipulation of student data.
Collaborate with staff across all departments to provide excellent supervision and center-wide student support.
What We Are Looking For
We hire for two distinct teaching pathways. Please review the qualifications below to see where your background fits best:
Academic Substitute Instructors
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school is required.
A valid New Hampshire teaching certificate is highly preferred.
Previous teaching or Job Corps center experience is preferred.
Career Technical Training (CTT) Substitute Instructors
A minimum of one year of experience in teaching or working directly in a related trade field (such as Electrical, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Culinary, or Hospitality).
Must be certified, licensed, or accredited in the State of New Hampshire, or accredited by a recognized professional trade organization.
Previous Job Corps experience is a major plus.
Position Details
