We’re looking for a passionate Personal Training / Group Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team and help us elevate our mission.

Job Description
We’re hiring a part-time Personal Training / Group Fitness Instructor with the potential for rapid growth into a full-time role. This position is perfect for an enthusiastic professional eager to deliver top-notch fitness instruction and support to our diverse clientele. Candidates should bring at least 1 year of fitness industry experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Exercise Science or Kinesiology), and a certification from an accredited organization. We’re seeking someone with a collaborative spirit and a genuine drive to help clients succeed.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments to understand clients’ health status, goals, and physical capabilities
Design personalized workout programs that incorporate biomechanics, body mechanics, physiology, and nutrition principles to optimize results
Lead motivating group fitness classes and one-on-one training sessions with enthusiasm and professionalism
Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, manual handling, heavy lifting safety, and injury prevention strategies
Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting programs as needed to ensure continuous improvement
Maintain detailed records of client sessions, progress notes, and program modifications
Promote fitness industry services through effective sales techniques while providing exceptional customer service and building strong client rapport

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching, personal training, or fitness instruction within a gym or health club environment
In-depth knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics relevant to exercise programming
Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation; first aid certification is essential
Experience creating personalized workout plans tailored to individual needs and fitness levels
Strong understanding of nutrition principles to support holistic health coaching
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to motivate and build lasting relationships
Familiarity with fitness sales techniques and customer service excellence in the health industry
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while demonstrating proper manual handling techniques
Valid liability insurance coverage for personal training activities is preferred
Experience teaching physical education or group fitness classes is advantageous
Knowledge of health club operations and gym equipment usage is highly desirable
