Schreiber Law, LLC is a small but fast paced debt collections law firm located in Salem, New Hampshire with a legal footprint that covers many New England states. The Legal Team is looking to hire a Legal Assistant.

Qualified candidates must successfully pass new employee screening requirements.

The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Analyze data on internal workflow reports to prepare court documents on behalf of the firm
Assist the firm's offshore vendor with performing back-office tasks related to Legal Department processes
Act as a supporting member of the firm's Coverage Team by preparing and distributing court coverage materials to the assigned covering attorney
Mail signed legal documents to the court and/or the Consumer.
Navigate court websites to review case level hearing information and/or court daily hearing lists
Support a small team of in-house attorneys to provide weekly coverage assignments
Data Entry (ie. hearing details)

General Responsibilities:

Maintain a strong knowledge of individual client procedures and state specific legal processes
Maintain a strong knowledge of and comply with firm policies
Organize legal documents within the firm's system of record according to the firm's internal document management process
Be able to speak effectively to firm clients regarding internal processes during client operational and audit visits
Provide additional support to other members of the Legal Department
