Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Job description:

Account Executive – Radio & Digital Advertising
$50,000 Base + Uncapped Commission (This is a Sales Career, Not a Desk Job)

Albany Broadcasting is hiring a driven Account Executive to sell radio and digital advertising solutions to local businesses. If you are comfortable being uncomfortable, enjoy competition, and want your income tied to your effort, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Expected to Do:

Proactively prospect new business every day
Make outbound calls, cold calls, schedule meetings, and present in person
Sell on-air, digital and event advertising.
Prospect, market, sell and service advertising to new businesses and build and maintain positive working relationships with existing clients.
Create custom advertising strategies using radio + digital
Ensure proper fulfillment of client advertising opportunities
Own your pipeline, follow-up, and results
Follow up with clients within 30 days to ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
Ask for the business and close deals
Build long-term client relationships through performance and trust

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Fast paced environment
May involve evenings, weekends, or holidays
Majority of shift is spent mobile in a vehicle
Involves lots of traveling to visit clients

Competitive nature, likes to excel with goals, scoreboards, and accountability
Strong communication skills; can confidently speak with business owners
Organized seller who manages activity and follow-through
Views rejection as part of the process — not a deal-breaker

Experience Requirements:

B2B sales and Cold Calling experience preferred
Media or digital ad sales experience is a plus
Reliable transportation to commute to clients and other offices.
One to three years previous sales experience
Must be detail oriented
Must work well with little direction
Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills

Candidates with prior telemarketing, cold calling, door to door sales, B2B, business development, broadcasting sales, digital sales, monetization, account executive, media sales representative, key account manager, sales executive, media supply chain, sales outreach, prospecting, lead generation and B2B experience are encouraged to apply!
