Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server / Shift leader to join our team in a fast-paced, casual dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. As a shift leader, additional shift duties may include leading new hires by example, servicing customer inquiries and performing POS close outs.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly while providing menus and information about daily specials.
Take accurate dine in and take out food and beverage orders using the POS system.
Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
Lead front of house staff, manage scheduling, perform end of shift POS closeouts.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces.
Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Provide recommendations on menu items based on guest preferences.
Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.

Skills

Experience in the food industry, particularly in casual dining settings is preferred.
Proficiency with POS systems and OpenTable for order management.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Attention to detail in order taking and food presentation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
