HR Generalist – Remote with preference for North Dakota residents

About the Role
Easterseals Goodwill North Dakota is seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This role helps drive key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leave tracking, compliance support, and employee records management. What You’ll Do
As HR Generalist, you will:

Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes for open positions

Coordinate background checks, eligibility verification, onboarding, and new hire orientation

Support benefits and wellness administration, including enrollment, tracking, and team member questions

Help manage leave and compliance-related programs such as FMLA, WSI, STD, and OSHA documentation

Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment events

Assist in developing job descriptions and interview tools that support effective hiring

Support unemployment claims documentation and other HR records

Contribute to HR policy updates and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee information

Promote the mission, vision, and values of Easterseals Goodwill North Dakota in daily work

We’re looking for a highly organized HR professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

1–2 years of Human Resources experience preferred

Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems

Preferred proficiency in ADP Workforce Now

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel minimally as needed
