Full Job Description

Location: New York City Metro Area (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester County, and Northern New Jersey)

Duration: 3–4 Month Project

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Industry: Healthcare / Hospital Systems

Compensation: $28-$30 (hourly rate/40hrs a week). Candidates will receive a $95 weekly expense stipend. All additional travel and expenses will be the contractor's responsibility.

Overview:

We are seeking reliable and committed Level 2 tech to support a large-scale payment device refresh project for a major hospital system. Technicians will travel to ambulatory care centers throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey to replace existing credit card payment terminals with new devices.

Responsibilities:

Replace and install credit card payment devices at ambulatory care locations.
Verify device functionality and connectivity following installation.
Perform basic troubleshooting related to network and hardware connectivity.
Document completed installations and report project status updates.
Communicate professionally with clinic staff and end users.
Manage daily schedules and travel between assigned locations.
Follow project procedures and ensure all devices are installed accurately and efficiently.

Project Details:

Each device replacement is expected to take approximately 30 minutes.
Work will be conducted across multiple healthcare sites throughout the NYC metropolitan area.
Candidates must be comfortable with local travel and working independently.
Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are critical for project success.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a PC Technician, Computer Technician, Desktop Support Technician, or similar IT support role.
6+ months of experience in a Lead, Team Lead, Supervisor, or similar leadership capacity (inside or outside of IT).
Experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN network connectivity issues.
Thorough knowledge of computer systems, hardware, operating systems, and IT components.
Experience supporting users in an enterprise IT environment.
Experience providing remote PC troubleshooting and support.
Knowledge of internet security best practices and data privacy principles.
Printer troubleshooting and support experience.
Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
