We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager who is passionate about leadership, service excellence, and driving business growth. This role will lead branch operations, develop staff, strengthen member relationships, and contribute to the credit union’s strategic growth.

Position Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and operational success of the branch. This includes managing daily operations, coaching staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving branch growth goals in lending, deposits, and membership.

This leader creates an exceptional member experience while building a high-performing team that reflects the credit union’s values and commitment to service.

Key ResponsibilitiesBranch Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop branch staff to deliver exceptional member service.
Foster a positive and accountable team culture focused on collaboration and results.
Recruit, train, and mentor employees to support career development and succession planning.
Conduct performance management, coaching, and ongoing staff development.

Member Experience & Service Excellence

Ensure every member interaction reflects the credit union’s commitment to service.
Resolve complex member concerns with professionalism and care.
Promote financial wellness by identifying member needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
Maintain high member satisfaction and engagement.

Business Development & Growth

Drive branch growth through membership expansion, lending, and deposit development.
Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through cross-selling products and services.
Develop local business and community relationships to generate referrals and partnerships.
Support credit union initiatives related to consumer lending, deposits, and digital banking adoption.

Operational Management

Oversee daily branch operations, including teller and platform activities.
Ensure efficient and accurate transaction processing and account servicing.
Manage branch scheduling, staffing levels, and workflow efficiency.
Monitor operational performance and productivity metrics.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure branch operations comply with all credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain adherence to security, audit, and operational risk standards.
Monitor cash handling, internal controls, and fraud prevention practices.
Support regulatory exam readiness and internal audit processes.

Community Engagement

Represent the credit union within the community.
Participate in local organizations, events, and partnerships that support the credit union’s mission.
Promote the credit union’s role as a trusted financial partner within the community.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in financial services, banking, or credit unions
2+ years of leadership or branch management experience
Strong knowledge of retail banking operations and consumer lending
Proven success driving branch growth and developing staff
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
