The Sales & Sales Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our wholesale retail business across both brick-and-mortar and omnichannel customers. This position serves as a key liaison between Sales, Operations, Customer Service, EDI, Logistics, and our retail partners to ensure flawless execution of customer requirements from item setup through final delivery.

This role combines traditional sales coordination responsibilities with operational account management and compliance functions. The position is responsible for supporting sales representatives, managing customer onboarding and item setup, maintaining accurate product and inventory information, communicating promotions and shipment status, and ensuring adherence to retailer operational requirements. In addition, the role will oversee inventory feeds, ASN transmissions, drop ship compliance programs, customer portal management, on-time shipping performance, and issue resolution in partnership with the Operations Manager and EDI team.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, analytical thinking, customer service excellence, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Support the sales team and assigned retail accounts by serving as the primary internal coordinator for customer requests, account maintenance, and day-to-day sales support activities.
Manage item setup, product onboarding, content maintenance, and product information across retailer portals, customer databases, and internal systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate new item launches and product transitions, ensuring all required documentation, imagery, specifications, pricing, and compliance requirements are submitted on time.
Maintain accurate inventory availability feeds to retail partners and ecommerce customers, regularly validating data accuracy and quickly resolving discrepancies with the Operations and EDI teams.
Monitor customer portals daily to ensure compliance with retailer requirements, identify operational issues, and proactively address potential risks to customer performance metrics.
Upload and validate Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) information and other required shipping documentation within retailer portals to support compliance and minimize chargebacks.
Track open purchase orders and shipment schedules, proactively communicating shipment status, delays, and revised ship windows to customers and sales representatives.
Partner with Operations, Customer Service, and warehouse teams to remove obstacles that could impact on-time shipping performance and customer satisfaction.
Manage retailer promotional calendars and customer communications, ensuring promotions, pricing changes, and sales programs are properly communicated and executed.
Review and validate point-of-sale markdown, promotional funding, and pricing adjustment requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
Maintain customer pricing records, product assortments, item cross-references, and related account data within ERP systems and customer databases.
Support drop ship and direct-to-consumer retailer programs, including product testing, certification requirements, operational setup, and ongoing compliance management.
Work closely with the EDI team to monitor and maintain the accuracy of electronic transactions, including purchase orders, inventory feeds, ASNs, invoices, and related customer communications.
Assist in resolving operational, inventory, shipping, invoicing, routing, and compliance issues by coordinating cross-functional teams and driving timely resolution.
Develop and maintain customer-specific processes, routing guides, operational documentation, and internal procedures to support efficient account management and onboarding.
Generate reports and analysis related to inventory, sales performance, fill rates, on-time shipping metrics, customer scorecards, and operational compliance.
Support external sales representatives with product information, pricing, inventory availability, assortment recommendations, and account follow-up activities.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, order status, inventory availability, promotions, shipping schedules, and operational requirements.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in customer service, operational execution, sales support processes, and retailer compliance programs.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in sales operations, sales coordination, customer service, account management, retail operations, or related field.
Advanced proficiency with Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills.
Ability to work effectively across departments and with external business partners.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting major retail accounts and retailer compliance programs.
Familiarity with EDI transactions, customer portals, and retailer scorecards.
Experience with ERP systems, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
Understanding of drop ship programs and retailer operational requirements.
Experience working with consumer products, housewares, cookware, or related industries.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
