A-Z Jewelry Solutions is seeking an experienced Fine Jewelry Diamond Setter to join our growing manufacturing team in New York City’s Diamond District.
We are looking for a skilled setters with strong attention to detail who can consistently produce clean, secure, high-quality setting work in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set diamonds and gemstones in fine jewelry
- Set engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings, pendants, and other fine jewelry
- Perform pavé setting
- Prong setting
- Micro-pavé setting
- Bead setting
- Channel setting
- Bezel setting
- Set center stones in a variety of shapes and sizes
- Properly tighten and secure loose stones
- Maintain consistent stone alignment and spacing
- Ensure center stones are straight, level, and properly positioned
- Inspect prongs and settings for security
- Identify potential setting or manufacturing issues before beginning work
- Work carefully with customer-supplied center stones
- Perform setting repairs and corrections when required
- Maintain quality while working efficiently through production quantities
- Coordinate with jewelers, polishers, QC, and production staff
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional diamond-setting experience preferred
- Professional fine jewelry experience required
- Strong experience with engagement rings and bridal jewelry preferred
- Strong pavé and prong-setting skills
- Experience setting round and fancy-shape center stones
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under a microscope
- Understanding of proper stone security and setting techniques
- Comfortable working with natural and lab-grown diamonds
- Comfortable handling valuable customer-supplied center stones
- Ability to identify loose, crooked, improperly positioned, or insecure stones
- Ability to produce clean and consistent work
- Able to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment
- Reliable, organized, and quality focused
About the Role
A-Z Jewelry Solutions produces both made-to-order and high-volume fine jewelry. Our setters work on everything from individual custom engagement rings to larger production programs.
Quality and consistency are extremely important. We are looking for an experienced setter who can work efficiently without sacrificing craftsmanship, stone security, or attention to detail.
All setting work goes through our multi-stage quality control process before final shipment.
Full-time, on-site position in New York City’s Diamond District.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
