Full Job Description

Financial Market Analyst (New York, NY) – In-Person

An opportunity is available for a Financial Market Analyst with expertise in capital markets and public company analysis to join a growing team in the heart of New York City. This role will involve supporting the firm's national Capital Markets and Public Company Advisory practice, providing strategic guidance to dynamic public company clients, focusing on SEC reporting, corporate governance, and capital markets transactions. Previous experience in a prominent financial institution is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities

Offer counsel to public company clients on SEC reporting requirements and compliance matters.
Create, review, and submit:
- Regular reports (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K)
- Proxy statements
- Section 13 and Section 16 filings
Advise boards of directors and senior leadership on corporate governance and stock exchange listing requirements.
Assist with various capital markets transactions and securities offerings.
Conduct legal research and draft specialized legal documents, including transaction agreements and client briefs.
Oversee complex transactions from start to finish.
Collaborate with legal professionals and business experts across different practice areas.
Stay up-to-date on securities laws, SEC regulations, and market trends.
Engage in professional development, firm initiatives, and pro bono projects.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in New York or New Jersey.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital markets.
Background in advising large and mid-sized public companies.
Thorough understanding of:
- Securities Act of 1933
- Securities Exchange Act of 1934
- SEC reporting and disclosure criteria
- Regulations of Nasdaq and NYSE and corporate governance standards
Previous experience at a top-tier legal firm is highly preferred.
Experience in guiding public companies on securities law and governance issues.
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
Ability to handle intricate capital markets matters autonomously.

Compensation, Benefits & Work Environment

Salary range: $365,000–$435,000 annually, based on qualifications and location.
