Full Job Description

Techtronics is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Level 1 Technician to join our team. Whether you’re a recent tech program graduate or have hands-on experience fixing devices at home or in a retail setting, this is your opportunity to build a long-term career in professional electronics repair.

We’re one of New York City’s highest-rated repair shops with a decade of experience and a reputation for fast, honest service. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, high-standards environment alongside experienced Level 2 technicians, store managers, and a supportive operations team.

Responsibilities:

Perform basic repairs on iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and PC laptops including:

o Screen, battery, and charging port replacements

o SSD upgrades and OS installs

o Keyboard and trackpad swaps

Assist in running diagnostics to identify common hardware and software issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation
Create accurate repair tickets and update job notes in our system
Support the team by prepping devices, managing inventory, and handling quality checks
Communicate effectively with front desk staff about job progress and timelines

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in a tech repair or electronics-focused role. Pleease do not apply if your only experience is in IT. We need hardware repair experience.
Familiarity with iPhone disassembly, laptop teardown, and basic component replacement
Comfortable using screwdrivers, tweezers, and other handheld tools for precision work
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right the first time
