Full Job Description

Position Title: Accounting Clerk - Part-Time

Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 12:30pm - 4:30pm

QPS Employment Group has a great part-time opportunity available for an Accounting Clerk at a company in Manitowoc, WI. This is a temporary position for 1st shift. Apply today!

Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:

Performs daily administrative tasks
Processes customer cash receipts
Performs daily invoicing of customer shipments and work with customers to resolve discrepancies
Processes customer credit applications and maintains credit limits and terms
Reconciles monthly bank statement
Ensures vendor invoices are verified, approved, and entered in a timely manner.
Works with purchasing to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Distributes vendor invoices for approval based on established levels of authority.
Ensures proper general ledger account numbers are applied to invoices
Performs check printing
Maintains accurate vendor files and sends out credit references as needed
Updates and creates procedures on an on-going basis
Assists as needed with accounting and other projects

Requirements for Accounting Clerk:

Associate’s degree preferred
Ability to spend most of the time sitting and sometimes walking through plant environment
Ability to occasionally climb stairs throughout the day
Ability to occasionally lift up to 15lbs
Manual dexterity
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is continually growing and changing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with employees at all levels while maintaining strict confidentiality
Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to place a high emphasis on accuracy, follow through, and attention to detail
Self-starter with a high degree of motivation and ability to work independently
