Preschool Director/ 3K & 4K Teacher Vacancy

(Part-Time)

Description

Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manitowoc is seeking a Part-Time Preschool Director/3K-4K Teacher. The position includes administrative leadership of the preschool along with teaching responsibilities in our 3K-4K classroom. We operate Monday-Friday, with exact hours to be determined.

We are licensed through the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) and offer small class sizes with two teachers in each classroom. Our curriculum is guided by the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) and is rooted in sharing the love of Jesus Christ with every child.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Administration

Oversee the preschool budget, including fundraising efforts and grant applications.
Manage grant reporting requirements.
Develop and maintain the preschool calendar.
Work with the executive board to market the preschool and promote enrollment.
Facilitate classroom tours for prospective families.
Build and maintain positive relationships with families, staff, and church leadership
Organize and lead staff meetings.
Coordinate continuing education opportunities for staff.
Ensure the facility, curriculum, and operations comply with DCF regulations.

Teaching Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging daily lesson plans for 3K and 4K students.
Establish classroom routines that promote learning, confidence, independence, and self-regulation.
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
Support positive classroom behavior management.
Build strong relationships with students and families.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and administration.

General Responsibilities

Attend church and preschool related activities, including fundraising events and other designated functions.
Report to the Pastor and/or Executive Board.

Qualifications

At least 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Meet Wisconsin DCF qualifications for both Center Director and Childcare Teacher.
Previous experience as a teacher or assistant teacher in a group child care center preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, leadership skills.
Ability to multitask while balancing administrative and classroom responsibilities.
