STARTING WAGE RANGE: $71,500.00 - $100,100.00 Annually (depending upon experience)
JOB TYPE: Full Time (typically 50 hours per week, as overtime hours are regularly available)
SCHEDULE:
- 1st Shift 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, typically Monday through Friday
- 2nd Shift 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, typically Monday through Friday
- 1st Shift available, 2nd Shift preferred
- Shift length may vary by day

JOB DESCRIPTION
Mechanics in this position will have working knowledge to provide superior maintenance on both diesel equipment and, at some locations, on our growing fleet of compressed natural gas trucks. The Experienced Diesel Mechanic will work with other diesel mechanics using a high level of skill, modern maintenance practices and technologies to include hydraulics, electrical and diagnostics. All while following established procedures to accomplish daily tasks and grow in skills and knowledge. We care about our Mechanic’s safety and show it by demanding solid safety practices of all our shop staff and managers. Our shop is modern, clean, organized and focused on delivering a high rate of efficiency. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete and pass applicable pre-employment background check, driving record, physical and drug screening
- Ability to perform the physical requirements and demands of the position
- Must reliably commute to the designated work location, and may relocate before beginning employment
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-year Degree in Automotive, Diesel, or Heavy Truck Maintenance including computer diagnostics and hydraulics is required
- Verifiable Diesel Mechanic Certification / Continuing Education
- Commercial Driver’s License is preferred but not required (WCS may provide training to interested candidates)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to operate large, heavy-duty vehicles
- Ability to drive safely
- Ability to work a consistent work schedule, as punctuality is required
- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing
- Ability to operate a tablet / basic computer skills
- Ability to learn new processes
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety
- Mechanical aptitude
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS
- Ability to provide a current Class D Minnesota Driver’s License
- Ability to provide or acquire a current Class A or Class B Minnesota Commercial Drivers’ License or permit, including air-brake, without restrictions (WCS may provide the means to become licensed to qualified candidates)
- Ability to provide or obtain a current valid Health Card (MEC)
- Verifiable Diesel Mechanic Certification / Continuing Education
- As assigned or apparent
