Full Job Description

WESCO Industries is seeking a highly organized and people-focused Hiring Assistant Manager to support and lead recruitment and staffing functions. This position plays a vital role in identifying, attracting, and onboarding qualified candidates who align with WESCO’s mission of serving individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive candidate and new hire experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, reference checks, and job offers.

· Collaborate with program managers and department leads to assess staffing needs and update job descriptions.

· Coordinate and participate in job fairs, community recruitment efforts, and workforce development events.

· Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure proper documentation of the hiring process.

· Support the onboarding process including background checks, new hire orientation, and paperwork completion.

· Assist with internal promotions, job transfers, and postings in accordance with organizational policy.

· Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, workforce agencies, and other talent pipelines.

· Ensure hiring practices are compliant with EEO, ADA, and other employment laws and WESCO policies.

· Provide regular reporting and analysis on recruitment metrics and hiring trends.

· Support HR team in other functions as needed, including employee engagement and retention efforts.

Qualifications

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

· 2+ years of experience in recruitment, hiring, or HR support roles.

· Knowledge of hiring laws and best practices in nonprofit or healthcare/human services settings is a plus.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS).

· Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
