Entegra Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen our company-wide safety, regulatory compliance, and employee training programs.
Position Summary
The Safety & Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Entegra Energy Solutions’ safety and compliance programs across all operations. This position will work closely with company leadership, project managers, supervisors, and field personnel to promote a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, pipeline safety regulations, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience in construction safety, preferably within underground utility, pipeline, natural gas distribution, or heavy civil construction environments.
This position requires regular travel to active project sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the company’s Health, Safety, and Compliance programs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training initiatives.
- Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections, audits, and field observations.
- Identify workplace hazards and provide recommendations for corrective and preventative actions.
- Conduct incident, injury, vehicle accident, property damage, and near-miss investigations.
- Perform root cause analysis and assist with implementing corrective actions.
- Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and project-specific safety plans.
- Conduct employee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926).
- Manage OSHA documentation, safety records, inspection reports, and training records.
- Ensure compliance with DOT requirements and applicable pipeline safety regulations.
- Administer Operator Qualification (OQ) programs and maintain employee qualification records.
- Support compliance with applicable requirements under 49 CFR Part 192 for natural gas distribution construction.
- Maintain customer-specific safety documentation and contractor qualification requirements.
- Manage contractor compliance platforms, including:
- ISNetworld
- Veriforce
- ITS
- EWN
- Coordinate employee certifications, training requirements, and expiration tracking.
- Assist with customer audits, insurance audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Partner with project teams and company leadership to continuously improve safety performance.
Preferred Experience

- Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ) programs

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction safety experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards.
- Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with field personnel and management.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel to active construction sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting natural gas distribution or pipeline construction projects.
- Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 pipeline safety requirements.
- Experience managing Operator Qualification (OQ) programs.
- Experience with contractor compliance platforms such as ISNetworld, Veriforce, ITS, or EWN.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional).
- Competent Person certifications related to excavation, trenching, confined space, or fall protection.
