Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Negotiable: $240,000/year + Bonus Incentive
Performance Incentive Eligible
Relocation & Signing Bonus Eligible
32 Direct Patient Hours, 8 Hours Administration/Week
Clinic Hours: Mon-Thu 8-5, Fri 8-3
Hospital Rounding Required

About the Position:

Join a legacy of healthcare excellence here at Pediatric Clinic of Paris. As a Pediatric physician, your role at our organization emphasizes compassionate care and community service. With a focus on outpatient services and minimal call duties, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships and collaborate with a dedicated team.

Duties are mostly outpatient, with infrequent hospital and newborn nursery coverage. You will provide the full scope of primary care services which fall under your field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance to pediatric patients, ages 0-21.

The Pediatric Clinic of Paris was established 40 years ago by three visionary pediatricians who joined forces to establish a practice that would become the cornerstone of pediatric healthcare in the Paris community. Their collaborative approach not only fostered a comprehensive treatment model but also cultivated lasting relationships with patients and their families, setting a standard for compassionate, family-centered care that continues to thrive today.

Pediatric Clinic of Paris plays a crucial role in the health care landscape, providing specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents. We not only address the unique medical needs of the younger population but also ensure that health care is tailored to their developmental stages. We play a vital role in community health by providing preventive care and vaccinations. We help reduce the incidence of childhood illnesses and promote overall health. We engage in advocacy efforts to address social determinants of health, ensuring that all children have access to necessary medical services.

About the Location:

Paris is a thriving community of economic activity for the Red River Valley. Paris is home to Paris Regional Health Hospital and is a regional hub for medical care. It is located in North Texas about 1.5 hours from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with close proximity to several attractions along the Texas-Oklahoma border.

Paris attractions include the Trail de Paris which is part of the NETTA trail, the Texanized Eiffel Tower, Lamar County Historical Museum, Red River Valley Veterans Memorial, Valley of the Caddo Museum and Cultural Center, Sam Bell Maxey House, and the local Farmers Market.

Paris is becoming a biking destination, so take advantage of the Trail de Paris, Barber Hills Mountain Bike Trail at Pat Mayse Lake, bike rentals at the Love Civic Center, and Pump Track Paris, a world-class competition pump track and host of several national qualifier events.

Over the past two decades, Special Health Resources has grown into a comprehensive health care system in North East Texas providing affordable care for the whole family. We have clinics in Longview, Tyler, Paris, Texarkana, and Jacksonville. Additionally, we have Mobile Units to serve rural areas. SHR now provides health care to families in all 23 East Texas counties. SHR is an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Clinic), offering patients a full-range of services, including both adult and pediatric primary care, adult and pediatric dental care, women’s health services, immunizations and vaccinations, HIV/AIDS screening and treatment, mental health care, and substance abuse services.

Benefits:

Incentive Bonus Program: Eligibility to participate in the organization incentive bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions specified in the incentive bonus plan document.

Reimbursement for Continuing Education: We provide five (5) paid days for continuing education up to the designated allowance for qualified activities per calendar year. We also reimburse for the cost of required professional licenses and certifications.

National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment: We are an approved NHSC site, which means our health care clinicians are eligible to apply and receive student loan repayment awards up to $100,000.

Malpractice Coverage: We provide medical malpractice liability benefits through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) program.

Paid Time Off (PTO): We offer a combined allotment for vacation, sickness, or personal reasons that begins accruing on the first day of employment.

Holidays: Ten (10) employer paid holidays per year. Employees are also given their birthday off as an employer paid holiday.

The organization may pay all or a portion of the employee’s health premiums as funding and economic factors allow.
