Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Sleep Lab Technologist, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing and managing sleep disorders through comprehensive sleep studies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in respiratory therapy, physiology, and sleep medicine to improve patient outcomes. You will work in a state-of-the-art sleep center, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing sleep health and providing exceptional patient care. Your technical skills and compassionate approach will help ensure accurate diagnostics and effective treatment planning for individuals experiencing sleep-related issues.

Duties

Conduct overnight and daytime sleep studies, including polysomnography, to monitor patients’ sleep patterns and physiological responses.
Prepare patients for testing by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and performing physical examinations as needed.
Monitor vital signs, respiratory parameters, and other physiological data throughout the sleep study using specialized equipment.
Analyze collected data to identify sleep disorders such as apnea, restless leg syndrome, or narcolepsy, supporting diagnostic evaluation efforts.
Maintain detailed documentation of each study, including technical observations, patient responses, and procedural notes.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to interpret results and assist in developing personalized treatment plans.
Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to safety standards and protocols.

Skills

Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and physiology principles relevant to sleep medicine.
Experience with sleep center operations, including setting up equipment and conducting diagnostic evaluations.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to sleep disorders, anatomy, and physiology.
Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient comfort during testing procedures.
Skilled in monitoring vital signs such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, airflow, and respiratory effort during sleep studies.
Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation methods for identifying various sleep disorders.
