Full Job Description

A dynamic and challenging role, as Account Manager, you will play an important part in Hemlock Landscapes (A Suncrest Company) objective to achieve yearly targeted sales goals. As such, you are passionate about developing and implementing sales strategies for maintenance services to achieve overall company goals and personnel targets.

As an excellent communicator, you are able to build and maintain key relationships with customers and personnel to ensure the organization is adequately positioned for current and future growth opportunities in the provision of maintenance services. Your key responsibilities are to identify business opportunities, expand on existing customer service contracts, and close sales.

Passionate, enthusiastic and motivated by success; the Account Manager embraces our vision / mission in dealing with both internal and external customers.

A strong relationship is also required with all office personnel in order to develop and close new business opportunities. Due to the seasonality of the business, hours of work vary widely. The nature of this position requires time outside of standard business hours including evenings and Saturdays.

Areas of Responsibility

Maintains relationships with existing customer base at the required level to ensure the continuance of service programs as measured by 92% or better renewal rate
Positions business for current and future business opportunities through up selling to existing customer base as measured by annual sales goals
Ensures accurate records are kept of business development activities for all customers and prospects through utilization of BOSS system
Follows through and addresses all customer issues or concerns; rectifies issues to customer’s satisfaction through fulfilment of USP
Oversees and measures seasonal customer satisfaction surveys to determine customer satisfaction levels and identifies future business development opportunities as a result of surveys
Contacts customers at regular intervals as outlined in annual sales plan to ensure satisfaction, customer touch point goals are achieved
Documents all customer communication including requests, changes and comments entering all information into BOSS
Completes service scheduling calls as required
Reviews all jobs prior to startup by following the handoff process to the Operations team.
Assist with collection of past due invoices as needed.
Annual sales quota is attained
Up sell and cross sell achieved at 50% of the base contract book of business; number of transactions per customer goals are met.
Additional revenue opportunities are identified and closed outside of the existing customer base.
All sales campaigns as identified in the Marketing Plan are completed according to timeline.
Referral and testimonial goals are achieved
Builds and maintains mutually beneficial sales alliances with selected partners and vendors who are aligned with our core values
Becomes involved in community events or clubs that provide opportunities to promote the company’s business
Stays abreast of current industry trends, competitive challenges, pricing, and new products
Submits required records, charts, contracts, or others in accordance with company procedures.
Communicates and submits applicable paperwork to appropriate managers regarding all customer requests pertaining to scheduling, work order information, pricing, special needs, change orders, etc.
Submits weekly status reports to Sales Manager regarding current business development activities, conversion rates, pipeline management, and closed revenue.

Additional Sales Responsibilities:

Assist with employee training as needed
Attend all required meetings
Assist the production team when necessary to achieve production goals, meet customer expectations, and/or beat deadlines
Maintain compliance with all company and state/federal safety standards, regulations, equipment, and procedures
Follows thru on all issues presented by Operations, Administrative, or Finance departments
Obtains required training as requested and per personal goals

Minimum Qualifications Required

Minimum 3 years Landscape/Maintenance experience in a leadership role
Alignment with Core Values
Must possess a valid driver’s license that meets company driving standards for insurability

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
