Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Customer Service/Collections Specialist I to join our financial services team. In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador for client interactions, responsible for managing collections accounts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach will help optimize revenue cycle management while maintaining positive client relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in financial concepts, debt collection negotiation, and industry-specific regulations within a supportive and energetic environment.

Duties

Manage collections accounts by contacting clients via phone and written communication to resolve overdue balances efficiently and professionally
Conduct account analysis using Excel data analysis tools and accounting software to identify discrepancies and develop action plans
Negotiate debt repayment terms with clients while adhering to consumer protection laws and financial regulatory compliance standards
Handle accounts receivable processes, including account reconciliation, debits & credits, and revenue cycle management tasks
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, payment arrangements, and account statuses while handling confidential information securely
Collaborate with internal teams on accounts payable processes and ensure adherence to financial concepts and industry regulations
Utilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, update client records, and analyze financial data for ongoing process improvements
Answering calls describing our pest control services, giving quotes, building accounts, updating information, writing up proposals, contracts, invoicing, responding to emails, corresponding and assisting Techs, scheduling, assisting with mailing projects, log books, and other various office projects and tasks.
Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with every caller
Update customer information in the customer service database during and after each call
Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes in company policies
Impact the company's bottom line by problem solving and turning frustrated clients into repeat customers

PAFFY'S PEST CONTROL offers a $1400 sign on bonus after two weeks of employment. This position offers a base pay plus commission based on the amount of revenue generated by your collections.

Skills

Proven experience in collections, accounts payable, or accounts receivable management within the financial setting
Strong phone etiquette coupled with excellent client communication skills to build rapport and resolve issues effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and report generation; familiarity with accounting software is a plus
Skilled in debt collection negotiation techniques that comply with consumer protection laws and industry standards
Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, and account reconciliation processes
Understanding of industry knowledge of financial regulations including compliance standards related to debt collection and consumer protection laws
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in typing and data entry tasks
Strong analytical skills for account analysis, math proficiency, and interpreting financial data to support decision-making
